On 15 July 2025, in the town of Bucha (Kyiv region, Ukraine), widely known tragically around the world, Alonso Gaona completed his unique painting (8.64 x 2.85 m) dedicated to the war between Ukraine and Russia, titled “The Right to Live in Peace.

”The artist depicted women and children fleeing Russian bombs and shows the inalienable right of peaceful Ukrainians to live in peace. The painting is filled with symbolism and simultaneously radiates hope and divine protection. It should be noted that the artist created it to the sound of drones flying overhead and sirens.
